Hyperborean ZPMs

 These are pics of the Hyperborean Zero-Point Modules! Hyperboreans are part of the race known in Stargate as the Ancients, but these particular group of people is my invention based on that tv-serie's great story. English description only, too long to rewrite for spanish.

 Zero-Point Energy can be extracted from any physical system that can use energy to convert it into entropy. A system becomes more "resistent" to entropy in perfect crystalline encasements but, since there will always be imperfections, it will not fully stop the normal process of entropy inside the device, depleting it's energy over many millenia if used under normal circumstances. The Ancients were able to take full advantage of this concept, that is why most Ancient technologies became crystal-based after developping their first ZPMs.

 The Hyperboreans, maybe the last reamining Ancients using these kinds of technologies, restarted ZPM research from where the Lanteans left, making some amazing discoveries over time.

Red-ZPM: Otherwise known as a "Stellar Potentia Device". Energy output of around 50%-60% compared to a Lantean ZPM.

 Drawing energy from the stellar mass of Red-Dwarf stars (the only stars that will remain after the universe starts dying), considered the evolution of the energy-collecting process first designed by their Ancestors in the "Destiny era". While giving limited energy output compared to Lantean ZPMs, this device give several advantages:

- Mass-produceable: because it is far easier (and less dangerous) for Hyperboreans to get the starting materials for Zero-Point Energy gathering from stars rather than Hyperspace.

- Rechargeable: Following the same principles used in Destiny-era ships, every Hyperborean capital ship has the equipments needed to re-gather material and to recharge their Red-ZPMs.

Yellow-ZPM: Otherwise known as a "Hyperspace Potentia Device". Energy output of around 100% compared to a Lantean ZPM.

 Drawing energy from the first layers of Hyperspace. While far more difficult to obtain, the final result is a device capable of immense ammounts of energy. Hyperboreans are working to find ways to make these devices rechargeable but, until then, it is easier to make a ZPM from scratch, as costly as that is.

 Their usage is limited to cities in planets, Outposts and City-ships. One exception is the Olympus class battleship, which makes use of Yellow-ZPM as their standard energy source.

Blue-ZPM: Otherwise known as a "Universal Potentia Device". Energy output is far greater but still indeterminated if compared to a Lantean ZPM.

 Gravitational Forces are too weak in this universe, so Hyperboreans figured those forces must be going somewhere, adding kinetic energy to someplace else, and they found out where. The place for the Blue-ZPM research project is located in a hidden world in the Triangulum galaxy, from there they were able to extract Zero-Point Energy that belongs to our universe but that "leaks" into another universe that will, eventually, collapse in a Big Crunch due to excess in gravitational forces.

 The Hyperborean Council never fully agreed with this project as some members considered better to find ways to mass-produce Yellow-ZPMs instead. But those who agreed with the project have the hope that the Blue-ZPMs will ensure the future for Hyperboreans and all their allies.
