Colonial Jupiter class Battlestar

These are renders of my new model of the Jupiter class Battlestar. The armour plates were inspired by the Battlestars shown during the flashback scenes in the BSG movie "Razor".

The first 12 ships of this class were constructed over 50 years before the start of the events in the Reimagined BSG series and were the flagships of each of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, to fight the Cylon threat. Born as the "Jupiter Project", each ship was given to a Colony for signing the Articles of Colonization. The cass proven to be so reliable that two other starship designs were created derived from the Jupiter, the Alke class Carrier and the Lynx class Destroyer.

The Jupiter class comes equipped with two immense carrier pods, powerful engines and it is armed with 24 main cannons, 512 point-defense cannons and 12 nuclear missile launchers.
